TAB Multi BetWhat is Tab Multi?
A TAB Multi is a popular betting option which allows you to spread your outlay across betting and sports (such as Horse Racing, AFL and NRL) options that you choose, in this way you can maximise your return whilst concentrating on the areas that you know best. The resulting dividend is calculated by multiplying together the prices of each of your selections and you can include selections from any sport and (most) betting options that are normally offered by TAB in a standard single bet.
In-store Betting
A TAB Multi is completed by choosing a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 20 different fixed odds options each being referred to as a ‘leg’, with one selection required for each leg. Choose your options from either sport or racing fixed odds but note that you can only include a maximum of 5 racing legs in any single Multi.
The minimum stake is $1 placed by using Multi cards available in-store or via the EBT. Most TAB betting options will be allowed in a TAB Multi, but there are some options which may be excluded from either single or multiple betting. In this case, TAB will identify single only markets; note that only fixed odds racing win bets can be included as a racing leg.
It’s not possible to include 2 betting options that relate to the same event in a TAB Multi, nor can you combine a futures market with a current market. Any bet which includes a time period between 2 legs in the same bet (from as little as 2 weeks) may also be rejected.

Placing Multi bets via tab.com.au has the advantage of allowing access to Super Multi betting. This enables you to submit your selected Multi bet together with each selection in your Multi as a single bet plus a pick of other possible Multi bets available for your selections. Additionally, you are allowed to enter a different stake amount for each possible Multi bet and each single bet.
AFL Multis
AFL Multis can also be placed at most corporate bookmakers such as Sportsbet.com.au where you can often place multi bets and get your money back if only leg of the multi bet loses. This gives you some insurance against a shock result in one of the legs of your AFL Multi.
