Lyon clears the air for Lovett

 Lovett has not had the best start at his new home, and the coach has decided to lay down the law a little, in an attempt to keep the young player in check. Lovett was arrested for being drunk in public on November 14, with punters likely to be keeping an eye on how team matters affect their AFL 2010 odds.

Unfortunately, Lovett's previous form has not been impeccable either, with him facing problems at his former team. He played at the Bombers previously, and was subject to discipline for his behaviour off field. When the Saints purchased Lovett, they did so after consultation with important Essendon people such as James Hird and Matthew Lloyd.

Lyon certainly did not mince his words when he spoke to aapsports about the issue in a recent interview. In the interview he said: "Certainly from here, he's under no illusions...in simple terms we're not a babysitting service, we're about self-directed and motivated athletes and Andrew is confident from here he can buy into that."
