NRL Odds: Friday Crunch Time At The Top
August 6th, 2014 by TJ DilferWhat a mouth-watering prospect we have in store for Friday night. A couple of games that you’ll want to be getting all the NRL odds for – and a couple that you’ll be wanting to settle in a watch, too, if you can.
First up are a couple of high-fliers at the top of the ladder. There might be an almighty rumble brewing beneath them, but the Sea Eagles and the Rabbitohs will likely be able to stay out of the worst of it, which means their clash on Friday has the feel of a finals dress rehearsal to it. All eyes will be on these two teams, and it’s the Sea Eagles that go into the game as favourites – but all that means is that the Sydneysiders will be all the more determined to close that gap between first and second, and (possibly more importantly) to make a huge statement before finals time rolls around…
And from two sides who have been on the rise in recent weeks, and who have been collecting wins, to two teams whose runs of defeats are starting to look a little worrying: now is hardly the time to lose form, especially with the threat of dropping out of the finals spots looming large for one of them, and the risk of failing to climb into those same finals berths a real possibility for the other. So both Brisbane and Canterbury will be desperate for the win: there will be one happier set of fans waking up Saturday morning, but the bookies have it called as a tight game, and it could go either way!
