All The NRL Odds For Round 23
August 13th, 2014 by TJ DilferRound 23 of this year’s NRL regular season looks like it could finish with a really tight game – when the Panthers and the Cowboys meet on Monday night there won’t be much between them in terms of odds, and there isn’t all that much between them on the ladder, either. We’ve got all the Round 23 odds – including that Monday night game and everything that comes before it in another crucial weekend of action…
Whoever comes out on top between the Panthers and the Cowboys, it could have real impact on the ladder, and on the look of the top four, in particular. If the Cowboys are going to bag themselves a home final, then it will have to be a win over the Panthers, and they’ll have to hope that the Tigers can overturn fairly long odds to beat the Roosters on Saturday night. For their part, the Panthers are starting to look battle-scarred as the 2014 NRL season gathers itself for the finals, and they’ll be glad just to get past North Queensland if they can on Sunday, and dig themselves into the top four.
Elsewhere on Sunday, both the Sea Eagles and the Warriors are the favourites going into their games, but they’ll be taking very different attitudes into them. Manly will be smarting from their defeat at the hands of the Rabbitohs in Round 22, and it’s the Titans who are likely to feel the full force of that frustration: the bookies have Gold Coast at long odds to survive the onslaught. The Knights, on the other hand, will be buoyed by an unlikely late comeback win last week against the Storm, and whilst you’d think that a finals berth is just a dream for the Newcastle boys at this stage, they can play with the pressure off, and throw all sorts of carefully-laid plans into turmoil for the Warriors, who are on 26 points and right in the middle of the rumble for the last of the finals spots…
