Melbourne Spring Racing Odds: Peggy Jean Back In Furious Stakes
September 11th, 2014 by Pom de TurfIn a race that has something of a reputation for featuring wins by horses who go on to do great things, exciting Melbourne Spring prospect Peggy Jean was back in action – kicking off her Spring campaign with a successful Autumn and a rest behind her. There were plenty of punters keeping a close eye on Peggy Jean, who could be a chance in some big races as we go through the Festival, and we’ve got all the Racing odds for you to look over, too…
Peggy Jean wasn’t the headliner going into the Furious Stakes at the weekend – that was Earthquake, who could do some great things in the 2014 Melbourne Spring – but there was some attention on her, and rightly so. As it turned out, it wasn’t Earthquake’s day either, and Chris Waller’s Winx came home for the win that maintains her increasingly-impressive unbeaten record. There was plenty to be pleased about, though, for both Earthquake’s and Peggy Jean’s camps: all three are horses that it couldn’t hurt to keep track of in the Racing odds we’ve got at the end of the link there – any of them could feature in some big races and have a say in them, too!
