AFL Odds: A Big Saturday Of AFL Action
May 28th, 2014 by TJ DilferRound Eleven hits its stride on Saturday, with some great action already likely to be behind us in the round, and some good things still to look forward to. Ladder leaders and form side Port Adelaide are in action, but there’s much more movement likely at the foot of the table than at the top, especially if the odds in the Power’s favour are anything to go by – you can, of course, get all your Round Eleven odds by following the link…
Melbourne have a bit of a mountain to climb if they’re going to bring the Power’s strong run to an end, but we’re getting to the point of the season where they need to find a win from somewhere if they’re going to be involved in the big games, and they will be telling themselves that they might as well beat the ladder leaders as any other side. That’s easier said than done, of course!
Carlton have four wins from their last five games, and will be eyeing another when they take on the Lions on Saturday. The bookies have them as the favourites, with odds of $1.42, which will either be a breath of fresh air or a burden to them. Still, Carlton players may well be feeling good at this stage of the season, knowing that they simply have to keep winning to get themselves some finals footie.
Essendon and Richmond are in pretty much the same situation as the Blues – they are either side of them on the ladder, in fact – and this would ordinarily be a great opportunity for either side to get a leg up on a team close to them on the ladder. We’re getting to the stage of the season, though, where fans and coaches alike aren’t looking at the sides around them, though, but at those magical top eight spots.
Whatever happens, it could be a decisive day of AFL, and a great one to watch: we’ve got all your Round Eleven odds waiting at the end of the link, and more AFL odds besides…
