AFL: Odds For Geelong vs North Melbourne
May 19th, 2014 by TJ DilferRound Ten of the 2014 AFL season kicks off on Friday night, and it’s Port Adelaide sitting on the top of the ladder, four points clear and on the back of a good string of wins. The first nine rounds have shown us, though, that pretty much any of the sides in the competition can beat anyone else, and so we’re excited to see what this week’s games offer up. We’ve got all the Round Ten odds for you, of course, if you follow the link!
Friday night sees Geelong and North Melbourne in action, in a game that Geelong go into as favourites at odds of $1.45. North Melbourne bring some real momentum with them, though, after a dominant performance and a big win over the Lions. They’ll have to find another gear, you’d think, if they’re going to inflict back-to-back defeats on the Cats – Geelong fans will be hoping their side will bounce back strongly from last week’s loss to Fremantle. That result will have stung the Cats, as they were brushed aside in Dockers skipper Matthew Pavlich’s 300th game. The Roos captain Andrew Swallow is on his way back from injury, and he’ll be hoping to provide the inspiration his side are going to need on Friday night: they’re getting odds of $2.80 just at the moment.
