AFL: Odds For Saturday’s Games
May 15th, 2014 by TJ DilferThe AFL season rumbles into Round Nine this weekend, and if it isn’t crunch time for most of the clubs yet, then it’s getting close! The weekend closes with a Sunday clash between St Kilda and the Suns that we’ll be trying to catch, and we reckon that Fremantle and Geelong will be the pick of the games on Saturday. As always, we’ve got your Round Nine odds covered on the site, and there are some AFL odds collected for you, too – including futures for the season and some nice markets…
Sunday night is a big night for both the Saints and the Suns. Both are relatively young outfits, and both are looking to keep winning in a season that could still see success. St Kilda started the 2014 campaign brightly, but then fell off the pace, and more defeats could shake their confidence, leaving them a mountain to climb to get back into the top eight. The Suns, on the other hand, are there already, and looking to cement what would be their very first finals spot. They’re the favourites on Sunday night, seeing odds of $1.24.
When Fremantle and Geelong meet on Saturday, it could be a season-defining clash for either or both. The Cats are right in the mix at the top, and going into a make-or-break run in the middle of the season. They should be rested after their bye, but they’re taking on North Melbourne and Sydney after the Dockers, so a win is absolutely what they’re after. Fremantle are sitting at the tail of the top eight, and looking under pressure to produce the wins that will get them up into the top four. They’ve had some injury woes, but their form hasn’t been bad – can they produce the goods against Geelong?
Make sure you’ve got all the AFL odds you need, especially all those Round Nine odds – it could be a vital week!
