AFL: Odds For Sydney vs Hawthorn And More
July 23rd, 2014 by TJ DilferHere comes the second half of Round 18, and we’re ready for more drama, especially if the first weekend is anything to go by. St Kilda’s win over Fremantle didn’t just spice things up at the top of the ladder, or just give Saints fans something to cheer about – it reminded us that any of the teams at the top can slip up against any opposition, and we’ll be keeping that in mind when we’re looking at the rest of those Round 18 odds!
The highlight is likely to be a clash between the Hawks and the Swans that’s a battle between the ladder leaders and a side that’s only one win behind them and sitting in third place. The Hawks are stuck in a scrap with Fremantle and Port Adelaide, who are both on the same points as them, but they’ll likely be looking up the ladder with ambition instead of down in with concern – you’d think that most of the top five are safe from the threat of falling out of the finals spots at this stage.
But there is still going to be a battle to get into the top eight spots, and Gold Coast are going to want to be in it after they looked like they would have a finals berth sewn up only to fall away. They haven’t found any consistency in the past month or so, and they will be desperate to get themselves back on track against Brisbane. They’re the shorter odds going into the game at $1.44, and their fans will want to see them make it count!
Elsewhere, West Coast face off against Richmond, and Sunday night sees what could be a really good game between Adelaide and Collingwood. Whatever happens, makes sure you’ve got all your AFL odds handy by clicking the link…
