AFL Odds: Round 15 Is Here
June 23rd, 2014 by TJ DilferThe finals creep another week closer, and Port Adelaide are still in the top spot on the ladder with four points between them and the chasing pack. The bookies don’t have them as the favourites by any means to claim the Premiership Flag, but they will have their sights firmly fixed on the minor premiership, and that will put them in with a real chance. Have a look over the Round 15 odds and see for yourself what’s in store for the weekend, while we take a look ahead at the game between Geelong and Essendon…
After defeat at the hands of Gary Ablett’s Suns in Round 14, there has been some close media scrutiny of the Cats. That has included a bit of statistical analysis, most of it used to ‘prove’ that the Cats can’t now hope to lift the trophy. But can you really write of a club like Geelong? They haven’t been playing their best football by any stretch of the imagination, and there are only pressure games from this stage of the season onwards, but it won’t just be Cats fans who still think they can be involved at the business end of the season – and if they’re in the finals, then they’ve got a chance. Friday night’s game could perhaps tell us more about the Cats and their prospects for silverware in 2014 – they play an Essendon side who are sitting just outside the finals spots, and who will be hungry to get a win, especially if they think the Cats are vulnerable. It’s a great way to kick off the weekend’s AFL action, and we’ve got all your Round 15 odds ready and waiting for you…
