AFL: Round 13’s Done, Get Your Sydney vs Richmond Odds
June 16th, 2014 by TJ DilferAny batch of sporting contests that’s the thirteenth round of the season, and that starts on Friday the 13th, is going to have its fair share of unexpected results writ in its stars. But we couldn’t have known – or even hoped – for games of the quality of at least a couple in the 2014 AFL season’s Round 13. The table is taking shape, and a few clubs will be starting to think about their realistic prospects in the season: it’s all got us looking ahead and pondering those Round 14 odds…
Perhaps it wasn’t a surprise that Round 13 left the best for last, or that Essendon and Melbourne produced a great game. A single point separated the sides, and the Bombers stay in ninth spot on the ladder. That’s maybe a bit of a result for the embattled Suns, who were no pushover but still went down to the Eagles, and who need to find a way to win before they slip out of the top eight…
The Port Adelaide Sydney clash was a classic, too – the game that everyone hoped and even expected from the side that had lit up the early season with a run of eight straight wins, and the form side right now, who coincidentally made it eight wins in a row when they beat the Power in Round 13. Sydney look to be peaking at about the right time, and Port Adelaide’s lead at the top is just four points now – all eyes will be on the Swans when they take on Richmond on Friday night. It’s a great game to kick off the round for fans – and Sydney will want to lay down a marker for the other teams in the top four – so make sure you’ve got all the Round 14 odds by following that link!
