AFL Round 19 Games, Odds and Bets
July 30th, 2013 by TJ DilferThere’s twenty points separating first on the ladder from Port Adelaide in eighth, and leaders Hawthorn run out against sixth-placed Richmond this Saturday – it could be that we’ve got a different-looking ladder when the dust settles after Round 19. If you fancy a bet on them, you’ll get $1.22 for Hawthorn to march on, where Richmond’s odds are a much longer $4.30.
Second-placed Geelong are in action on Friday against North Melbourne, and they’re $1.31 favourites to win and keep the pressure on the leaders. They’ve got a tough-looking run in, the Cats, starting with what will likely be a serious test against a North Melbourne side given odds of $3.45. Swans fans will have to wait for Sunday to see how their boys go in a clash against the Western Bulldogs that they’re strongly favoured to win (you’ll get $1.09) – the Bulldogs are at long odds of $7.50. Both Essendon and Freemantle will be involved in tight games, and although neither is odds-on to win, both will be desperate to keep their top-two ambitions alive. Essendon are narrow outsiders at $2.05 against Collingwood at $1.77, while Freemantle fans will be tempted to put their money where their mouths are at $1.95 against Carlton at $1.85. Could this be the win that the Blues need to bust into the top eight and get building momentum when it counts?
