It’s just reward, we reckon, for the hard graft Giles has put into the franchise that breathed another lease of life into his career, and it speaks to the development of the Giants as an outfit. They would want to be in better shape in the 2014 season, of course, but they’ve struggled to find form and they’ve languishing close to the foot of the ladder.
