Caulfield Cup Odds: Bande Proving Popular
October 16th, 2014 by Pom de TurfPunters aren’t just looking at Japanese stayer Bande for the Melbourne Cup on November 4th, but also to win the Caulfield Cup this weekend. He’s right up there amongst the horses with the shortest odds, too, if you have a look at the Racing odds we’ve got for you at the end of that link. He’ll have a check over by the stewards to get through, but once he gets a clean bill of health he’ll be looking to really establish himself as a favourite for the Melbourne cup by landing the Caulfield Cup!
Only classy prospect Lucia Valentina is at shorter odds than Bande for the 2014 Caulfield Cup, and both are proving to be very popular with punters, according to Sportsbet’s Shaun Anderson: ‘since the barrier draw punters have made a really strong move for Bande. His form in Japan is first class and by all reports he’s thrived since arriving in Australia.’ It’ll be very interesting indeed to see how Bande shapes up in the Caulfield Cup – seems to us that there will be lots of punters and pundits alike watching the Japanese stayer very closely indeed, with a view to seeing how his weekend run will affect the Racing odds for the Melbourne Cup. Obviously the Caulfield Cup is a huge race in its own right, but there will be punters looking ahead to The Race That Stops A Nation. We’ll mostly just be looking forward to a Caulfield Cup that could be a classic – there’s plenty of time to look ahead to the Melbourne Cup when you check back in with us!
