Coleman Medal 2014 Early Odds and Favourites
February 5th, 2014 by TJ DilferAny side that contains a Coleman Medal contender will be a team that’s in contention when it comes to the business end of the season – that or it’s a team that depends on one guy to kick the bulk of the goals! It’s a contest that has been dominated in the last few years by two clubs, though, and you’ll find that both Hawthorn and Richmond will be quietly hoping that another Coleman Medal comes their way come the end of the season – almost as much as they’re hoping that they have one or two players who score them enough goals to be in with a chance!
The bookies look like they think it will be pedigree that’s the shortest odds for the Coleman Medal in 2014, with Luke Riewoldt giving Richmond fans hope that he’ll contribute 60+ goals and justify the odds of $6.00 that you can see below. Riewoldt is the favourite, but there are a couple more holders of the Medal in previous years who will be in the mix if the odds are anything to go by: Lance Franklin is a $6.50 bet that a few Sydney Swans fans will be tempted by, and Hawthorn fans will hope that Jarryd Roughhead can repeat last year’s success and win it at $9.00.
