Puissance De Lune may be the hot favourite – at $5.00 – for the Melbourne Cup, but we’re still a long way out from November 5th, and there are plenty of preparations still to be made. And Puissance De Lune finished second behind Foreteller at the Makybe Diva Stakes at the weekend, giving us a look in the process at where they’re standing…

Neither horse lost any backers for the big race in November with their performances, both running well and apparently pleasing their trainers. Puissance De Lune made good ground from the back of the pack, and went well, while trainer Chris Waller was very happy with Foreteller: ‘we chose the right one and we had the right horse fit on the day. He’s pulled off a big win.’
