Melbourne Cup Odds: Caravan Rolls On Shortens
October 29th, 2014 by Pom de TurfWe’re getting tantalisingly close to the 2014 Melbourne Cup – this is that exciting time when there’s enough distance between us and the race for things to change, even to change dramatically, but close enough to jump-off for an idea of how the betting is going to go to be forming. It’s a great time to be keeping abreast of all the latest Racing odds by following the link we’ve got for you there, and for making sure you drop by these pages for regular news updates as we get them ourselves.
One horse that has seen a good deal of movement is Geelong Cup winner Caravan Rolls On, and the stayer, originally from the UK and trained by Danny O’Brien at Flemington, is seeing much shorter odds beside his name at Sportsbet as of today: ‘Caravan Rolls On was well challenged in the straight and responded. He obviously has no issues at the distance so could be value at $26,’ says Sportsbet spokesman Shaun Anderson.
Where there hasn’t been as much change in the past week or so is at the shortest odds amongst those Racing odds for the Melbourne Cup. It’s still Japanese import Admire Rakti who looks to be the horse to beat, with odds of $5.00 beside his name and Protectionist and Lucia Valentina lining up behind him.
