Melbourne Spring Racing Odds: Golden Rose Order Of Entry
September 4th, 2014 by Pom de TurfWe’re not far out from the 2014 Golden Rose, a big race in its own right, and also a fantastic chance to see how some of the most exciting horses that will feature in the Racing odds as we go through the Melbourne Spring are shaping up…
And the order of entry for the 2014 Golden Rose suggests it’s likely going to be a race that’s packed with quality. Topping the list is Mossfun, though she’s been struggling with a virus and she’s very much in doubt – even if she can get back to health, there’s no telling what sort of shape she’ll be in. So look to the horses gathered behind her: Earthquake, Peggy Jean, Bring Me The Maid and Almalad. That’s a classy group of horses, and they’re all in the mix to win the race if they run. Earthquake comes into the 2014 Melbourne Spring with bags and bags of potential, and she’s not the only one: Bring Me The Maid and Peggy Jean are a pair of 3-year-olds looking to make a real impact on the Melbourne Spring in 2014, and Almalad is a horse with a cracking career record to date. He comes with a glowing endorsement from his trainer, too: a certain Gai Waterhouse reckons he’s one to look out for in the Racing odds for the Golden Rose and more in 2014. Can you afford to ignore him?
