NFL Jaguars at Broncos – has there ever been a bigger mismatch?
October 9th, 2013 by HS Jackson JnrNFL Week 6 sees possibly the biggest mismatch in NFL history as the Jacksonville Jaguars travel to Denver to take on the Broncos. With the Jaguars priced at odds of $26.00 (yes Twenty Six) they clearly have no chance of winning outright.
Lets look at the stats:
Denver Broncos have a 5-0 record this season, scoring a massive 230 points in the process. Their offense leads the season for scoring and also for passing. However defense is a bit of a worry as the Broncos are only 29th and have conceded 139 points.
Jacksonville Jaguars have a 0-5 record, have conceded 163 points and have scored a paltry 51. Their offense lies 32nd (points) 29th (passing) and 30th (rushing), so they cannot hope to score many against the Broncos.
However, history is with the Jaguars, as they have won the last 3 encounters between these teams. They won 24-17 on the last two occasions they met in Sept 2010 and Oct 2008, and also won 23-14 back in 2007.
Obviously the Jaguars are going to get turned over, however, if they can manage to stay within 26.5 points of the Broncos, they will win on the handicap. In fact that is where our money is going. Jacksonville +26.5 at odds of $1.92, surely they can’t lose by 27 points or more can they?
One thing is for certain, it will be fun viewing, even better with a bet on……
