NRL: Dragons $1.60 Odds To Bounce Back
April 16th, 2014 by TJ DilferThe official verdict is in: after however many hours of careful scrutiny – frame by frame – of the closing seconds of the Round 6 clash between the Dragons and the Storm, the NRL is prepared to say that the siren went before the ball was heeled, and that the Dragons were painfully unlucky not to get the win. But we knew that, and it’s time to get one with Round Seven – so get all your Round Seven odds here!
The question for the Dragons isn’t whether they should have had the points last week (though their fans will be a little longer in forgetting it, especially if it gets close at the business end of the season…), the question is how the Dragons bounce back against a hot-and-cold Warriors side who are sitting second-from-bottom on the ladder. The Dragons have had their own troubles in recent weeks, and they’ve turned in three straight losses over the past three rounds, so if they want to get themselves moving back up the ladder, then they need to make good on those $1.60 odds as against the $2.40 you’ll get for the Warriors.
After that, to bring your Saturday viewing to a close, last year’s Grand Final winners are in action against the side currently sitting in dead last spot on the ladder, and the Roosters are in pretty dire need of a win to get things back on track. It’s early days yet, but the Roosters are three defeats on the bounce coming into this game, and they can’t afford to lose much more ground on the top sides and keep alive hopes of repeating last year’s success. A win against Cronulla would ease the pressure a little, and all the form guides point to that being the most likely outcome. The less said about the troubled Sharks the better – they’re the outside bet at $2.65, while you’ll get $1.48 for the Roosters.
