NRL: Get Your Round Six Odds For Sunday’s And Monday’s Games
April 11th, 2014 by TJ DilferThe ladder might not be looking exactly how we expected it to look after five rounds of NRL, and there will no doubt be some close games and plenty of talking points when the dust settles on Round Six – but we know that we can expect to see some great games, and we can expect there to be some tasty bets on offer at Sportsbet, so make sure you’ve got all your NRL odds at hand by following the link, and especially all those Round Six odds!
Sunday afternoon sees a couple of games that we’ll be wanting to sit down in front of if we get the chance, the first of them a meeting between the New Zealand Warriors and the Canterbury Bulldogs. This isn’t the place to discuss what’s gone on at the Warriors in the week since their defeat by Cronulla, but suffice it to say that their preparation has not been ideal. Expect wholesale changes by the new man in charge, Andrew McFadden, and it’s anyone’s guess how the new personnel in the line-up will go, and how the off-field events will affect the players. The Warriors go into the game as outsiders, but not by all that much, getting $2.02 as of right now. The Bulldogs, meanwhile, have been gathering momentum over the course of the last two rounds, with wins over the Storm and the Roosters, and they will be keen to pile the pain (in the nicest possible way) onto the kiwis with a result that goes their way. In terms of betting, they are getting odds of $1.82 to grab the win.
Next up are the Sharks and Manly – two sides desperate for a bit of consistency, if only to calm the nerves of their fans! While the Sharks have been wallowing at the foot of the ladder, and in the midst of an awful start to 2014, they did put a big win over the troubled Warriors in the last round, and will have ideas of springing a surprise against the Sea Eagles, especially in the light of perhaps Manly’s worst performance in a very long time in Round Five. For their part, the Sea Eagles will be keen to prove that their good form hasn’t evaporated, and that last week’s thumping was a blip, not the start of a new trend. You’ll get $3.90 for the Sharks, but Manly are the favourites at $1.27.
Then, Monday night sees an intriguing clash between Illawarra and the Melbourne Storm. Both these sides went unbeaten for the first three games of the 2014 season, but then the wheels have come off a bit in the past couple of rounds, with both of their defences shipping in excess of 60 points over the course of a fortnight. That’s not how either side gained that early success, so their meeting on Monday night might easily be decided by which side keeps it tighter. Of course, that means that this one could be an incredibly exciting game to watch! The Storm go in as heavy favourites at $1.30, but do you fancy the Dragons to sneak a close game at odds of $3.65?
