NRL Odds: All-Stars Squad Named
January 22nd, 2015 by TJ DilferIt’s not long now until the 2015 NRL season kicks off with the Auckland Nines (not the regular season, of course, but we’ll be glad to see some Rugby League back on our TV screens after the break) and we’ve got all the NRL odds you need for the tournament at the end of the link there. A little bit beyond the Nines, as well, there’s an All-Star game that you need to make sure you’ve got circled in the diary, and we’re seeing news that the squad has been named for the NRL side that will contest that game.
The votes are in for the Indigenous All-Stars, and it’s Wayne Bennet who’s in charge of coaching the NRL side who will take them on when February 13th comes around. He’s picked Beau Scott of the Knights to lead the NRL side, but it was Michael Ennis of the Sharks who was with him for the announcement of the squad, and he was keen to share with the press: ‘I really love the All Stars concept and it’s a massive honour to once again be selected to be a part of the week. The diversity and inclusion of this event is what makes it so special, not just for the players but the wider community and I’m glad that it’s back on the calendar. My children are now at the age where they can appreciate and understand what I am playing for, particularly in my representative matches and it’s really exciting that they will be there on match day.’
So expect a big performance from Ennis in front of his kids, and it’s probably fair to say that the boys in the NRL jerseys will be every bit as well motivated as the Indigenous All-Stars – in fact, they go in as the favourites, with odds of $1.75 that you’ll see beside their name when you check them out by clicking this link: NRL odds.
