NRL Odds: One Round To Go
September 3rd, 2014 by TJ DilferThe AFL boys might be done with their regular season and gearing up for the finals, but there’s still one more week of NRL action to come before the 2014 season is won and lost. It’s been tight, and it’s been typically hard-fought, but there’s still plenty up for grabs as we go into Round 26 of the 2014 season. As ever, we’ve got all the NRL odds and more at the end of the link for you – they’ll show you that the minor premiership is Manly’s if they win, but it’s still up for grabs if they lose to the Cowboys on Saturday night – and the shorter odds are beside the Cowboys on Sportsbet right now! Whatever happens at the top, there will be legions of fans focussed on the tussle for the finals spots: nothing is decided yet, and there are ten teams right in the mix. Every result is important over the course of the season, it goes without saying, but the pressure just keeps building in September, and it’s a weekend for drinking in the last chance saloon for a few sides. We’ll be watching!
First up, on Thursday night, there’s a huge clash between the Rabbitohs and the Roosters. Rarely does a clash between the two Sydney sides need any extra relish, but this one certainly has it, with the prospect of a minor premiership up for grabs for the winner if the Sea Eagles fail to close out the season, and a guaranteed double chance in the finals even if Manly claim the minor premiership. Expect some great sparks when these two meet: it could be a preview of the finals that are in store!
Friday night sees the Storm and the Broncos in action in a game that could be more important for Brisbane, who are on 28 points and right in the battle for the finals spots. Two points ahead of them, the Storm have a little bit of a cushion to make them feel comfortable, but a loss would leave their fans anxious, and no-one wants to go into the finals on the back of a defeat.
We’ll be taking a look at a busy Saturday and Sunday of NRL action this weekend as the last round of the regular season hits your TV screens, and we’ve got all the NRL odds you need for the finals, too…
