NRL Odds: The Rest Of Round 19
July 17th, 2014 by TJ DilferWith the Representative season behind us, and a gripping State of Origin series that saw a brave NSW effort – especially defensively – win them a series for the first time in a long time, but that also saw them fall short of the clean sweep they would have dearly loved, it’s time to get back to the 2014 NRL season as it draws to what could be an extremely close finish. There’s plenty of tension in store, we have no doubt, and we’ve been looking at the Round 19 odds for the all the sides in action this weekend.
The Roosters have lost two games on the bounce, and the Storm were narrowly pipped by the Raiders last time out in a very low-scoring game, so both sides will want to set their 2014 campaigns back on track on Saturday. Both are favourites: the Roosters are getting odds of $1.27 to beat Penrith, while you’ll see odds of $1.21 for a Melbourne win against Canberra. The Panthers are sitting in a good position at the top of the ladder as we come to the crunch time in the season, and they won’t want to give up the chance to see off the Roosters if they can – they’re a $3.95 bet but their fans will be looking at the lift a win this weekend would give them. Elsewhere, sater a 48-point thumping of the Eels in Round 18, the Warriors will be looking to muscle their way into the top four if they can, and a win against the Broncos would help that cause no end, but you’d think that the Brisbane boys would have plenty to say about it, especially when they’re sitting just behind the Warriors on the ladder and fresh from a bye in Round 18.
Then on to Sunday, which sees the Knights favourites to close the gap on the Titans above them when the two meet, and the Bulldogs are in action against the Wests Tigers. Whilst the Bulldogs are right in the mix for the minor premiership, Wests Tigers are outside the finals spots, and will be pushing hard to try to stay in touch with the teams above them. The round closes on Monday night with the ladder leaders Manly against the Dragons: St George had some good early season form and are on the back of a decent run of wins, but they’ll have their work cut out against the Sea Eagles, who go in as favourites…
All those NRL odds for the season as it draws to a close are waiting at the other end of the link, and we’ve got all the Round 19 odds you need, as well!
