NRL: Round 17 Odds

Round 16 of the NRL was a good one – as high-quality as we’ve come to expect from the NRL over the years – and full of close games and plenty of talking points on the pitch. We’re already looking at the Round 17 odds for the games that might be the stand-outs in the next round. But the press attention has been elsewhere. We’re going to let you take care of finding the right amount of salacious details as to why, but Todd Carney won’t be playing for the Sharks anymore. Which is a shame, because he was a part of a huge team effort that saw Cronulla rise from the dead against the Broncos.

There was lots more to enjoy in Round 16, including a Manly win over the Roosters that sees them topping the ladder going into Round 17. And they’re the first course in your weekend’s diet of NRL: the Sea Eagles against third-placed Canterbury-Bankstown is a great game in prospect, and it will potentially have some real impact at the top of the ladder. The Sea Eagles are busily working to make themselves favourites not only for the minor premiership but for a season that ends with them raising the trophy, as well.
