July 18th, 2014 by Pom de Turf

It was a great day for Australian Racing fans when the first lady of Racing in Australia, Gai Waterhouse, scored her first Melbourne Cup win with Fiorente. Racing Odds: Bounding Makes Australian Debut

July 18th, 2014 by Pom de Turf

Kiwi filly Bounding ran a race that would have been heartening for trainer Ken Kelso in her first run on Australian soil, at the Royal Sovereign Stakes back in April. And she’s a horse that might make an appearance in the Racing odds that you’ll see between now and the Spring Season, especially if you’re Read the rest of this entry »

They’re a team on the slide, and the pundits are starting to circle overhead for Port Adelaide. In truth, they’ve been hit by some injury woes, and it just looks a little bit like they’ve run out of steam: after a long stint at the top that their fans were enjoying and just starting to get used to, the last five games have seen just a single win returned by the Power. We’ve got all your Round 18 odds for you: and you’ll see that Port Adelaide go into their game against Melbourne as the strong favourites, but you’d feel, too, that Read the rest of this entry »

July 17th, 2014 by TJ Dilfer

With the Representative season behind us, and a gripping State of Origin series that saw a brave NSW effort – especially defensively – win them a series for the first time in a long time, but that also saw them fall short of the clean sweep they would have dearly loved, it’s time to get back to the 2014 NRL season as it draws to what could be an extremely close finish. There’s plenty of tension in store, we have no doubt, and we’ve been looking at the Round 19 odds for the all the sides in action this weekend.

NRL Odds: Into Round 19

July 14th, 2014 by TJ Dilfer

There were some big scores in Round 18, not least in the third game of the 2014 State of Origin, in the end. There was yet another enormous defensive effort from the Blues that saw them just 6-2 down at the break, but the final score maade it look like a more comfortable night for the Queensland boys that it really was. Elsewhere, the trend that has seen scores in NRL games creeping down in recent times was well and truly bucked, with high-scoring games almost across the round. Looking forward to Round 19, we’ve got all the NRL odds you need – and we’re hoping for another bunch of cracking games…

And how does the ladder look? Read the rest of this entry »
