Rabbitohs Still Top Going Into Round 21
July 30th, 2013 by Les HThe Rabbitohs are still two points clear of the Roosters going into Round 21, and some interesting results over the past couple of weeks have made sure it’s going to be tight heading into the business end of the season. There are certainly a few good-looking fixtures coming up at the weekend, and we’ll be putting some money on a couple of them…
The Roosters are in action on Friday night, and favourites at $1.25 to register a win over Penrith (who are at $3.70) and keep the pressure on the Rabbitohs at the top of the ladder. Also on Friday, the Broncos take on the Newcastle Knights, who are holding onto that vital 8th spot, and who are favourites for the match at $1.50. The Broncos are at $2.45, though, so it could be a good close game!
Elsewhere over the weekend, the Rabbitohs are at $1.42 to beat a troubled Cowboys outfit, who will inevitably be looking around for leadership after coach Neil Henry’s departure, and who will have to show real character to make their $2.70 odds a good bet. We’ll be watching the Bulldogs and the Dragons, too, on Monday – the Dragons are currently $2.25, but we’ll more likely be backing Canterbury at $1.60…
