State of Origin 2: Are All Bets Off?

Before that game we saw a week of changing odds as the momentum shifted towards NSW, and there’s plenty of time between now and the 26th for things to shift back, but we thought we’d take a look at the betting as it stands, two weeks out from the next big clash. It’s set up nicely, especially with a little bit of extra spice added by Paul Gallen’s temper, and a couple of well-aimed punches…
As of today, you’ll get $1.65 for Queensland to come back strongly and level the series, while NSW are at $2.25 to take the second game. In the markets, the shortest odds you’ll see for a winning margin are for the Maroons to take the game by 6 to 10 points ($5.50), whilst NSW are $7.50 to take it by the same margin and $7.00 to sneak it by five points or fewer…
