World Cup: Tickets Selling Fast!
March 18th, 2014 by G WaldorfThe fourth round of ticket sales for the FIFA World Cup 2014 has been and gone in a flash, and if you tried and failed to score yourself a ticket to a Socceroos game, then you were by no means alone! The good old social media were abuzz with frustrated Australia fans who had hoped to secure tickets to watch the Socceroos in action, but the quality of the teams in Group B could well be working against Aussies, and making for some desirable tickets – the Spain game in particular was very much over-subscribed, and sold out in minutes, if not seconds. March 13th, 2014 by G WaldorfIt looks like it’s shaping up to be an exciting World Cup for Australia. Sure, Group B doesn’t look like it was the best place for the Socceroos to be drawn, and sure, the odds are pretty long for Australia to scrap their way out of the group, but we have to say we’re liking the way Ange Postecoglu has been going about preparing the side for the tournament, and we’re not the only ones: Socceroos veteran Tim Cahill has been in the press this week praising the new crop of players pulling on the gold jersey…
Cahill became Australia’s leading goal scorer on Thursday when Read the rest of this entry »

March 11th, 2014 by G WaldorfWe’re into the final hundred days before the World Cup in Brazil kicks off and all the TV cameras on the planet are pointed in that direction (that’s how it feels, anyway, with these tournaments) – there are 95 days, in fact, between now and Australia’s first game, against Chile at Cuiaba. The stadium might Read the rest of this entry »

January 17th, 2014 by G WaldorfIt might still be a few months until the first kick-off of the World Cup in Brazil, but already there’s some excitement building. May 23rd, 2013 by adminSunday morning’s Champions League final is one of those events that is definitely worth staying up for, and I can’t think of a better final line up than Borussia Dortmund Vs Bayern Munich. Both sides know how to play attractive soccer, both sides attack repeatedly and both know how to entertain.
Bayern Munich are strong favourites at $1.80, however I like the look of Borrussia Dortmund to pull it off. Bayern have a habit of choking in the big final, and I can see it happening again.
Dortmund are $4.50 to win in 90 minutes, and $2.87 to lift the cup. I like the look of both those odds. Read the rest of this entry »
