UFC Rosi Sexton to become UK’s first female fighter
June 12th, 2013 by adminCambridge graduate, mother and qualified osteopath, Rosi Sexton becomes the UK’s first female UFC fighter when she steps into the cage on Saturday 15th June. Rosi, nicknamed ‘The Surgeon’, takes on Canada’s Alexis Davis in her first UFC bout.
35 year old Sexton, who was born in Versailles, France, is well trained in martial arts and fighting, having black belts in Taekwondo and Jujutsu and a brown belt in Brazilian Jujutsu. Extremely well educated, Rosi Sexton has a first in Mathematics from Cambridge University, a PhD in Theoretical computer science at Manchester Univeristy and a BSc in Osteopathy from Oxford University! Oh, and she is also a former Cage Warriors Womens 132lb champion, not to mention the BodogFight Womens 125lb Champion!
Of her 15 professional fights to date she has an excellent record of 13 wins (7 by submission, 2 KO and 4 decision) and 2 KO losses. However Saturdays UFC bout is sure to be a significant step up. One thing can be sure, her 8 year old son can be very proud of his mum, what’s the betting he doesn’t get picked on much at school!
Rosi Sexton is a massive $4.00 to win, and we are tipping her all the way!
Another UFC Specials bet we like the look of is with Sportsbet, and sees them offering odds on Conor McGregor to become UFC Champion by the end of 2014 and 2016.
Conor McGregor UFC Odds
To Win UFC Championship by end of 2014 $9.00
To Win UFC Championship by end of 2016 $5.50
A bet on both is in order, as he is a great prospect, who will come to dominate the MMA sport, we’re sure of that!
