World Cup: All The Odds For Chile vs Australia
May 8th, 2014 by G WaldorfThere are already a host of futures and specials on offer for Australia’s first game at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, and we’re going to take a little look at some of them here. Ange Postecoglu could well be targeting the Chile game as one that his Socceroos could get something out of, but that gives you more of an idea of the challenge facing Australia in Group B than how these two sides stack up: Chile are currently rated above the Netherlands in FIFA’s rankings, at 14th…
A look at the Chile vs Australia odds shows you that the Socceroos go in as underdogs at odds of $6.50, and there’s probably not much to be gained by backing them to storm to victory. There’s every chance, however, of them sneaking it if it’s close: a 2-1 victory for Australia is a $15.00 bet. If you’re not feeling too confident about an untried Socceroos side, though, you can still find plenty to interest you. We quite like the look of a bet on Australia leading at either half time or full time at $4.55. That said, if the Socceroos lead at half time and lose it, that’s an $11.30 bet. And it’s always good to remember that this is soccer, and the draw is a real possibility at odds of $3.80: Postecoglu’s Socceroos might be building for the future and planning to play without fear at this World Cup, but it’ll be early in the tournament, and it wouldn’t be the first time nerves got the better of two sides in an important group game!
