World Cup Odds: The Sound Of The World Cup
May 29th, 2014 by G WaldorfGone are the days, perhaps, when we had checklist on the wall for all the things we need to be ready for the FIFA World Cup in Brazil (we haven’t been able to get hold of one this time around), but there are a few things on the list: all the Australia World Cup odds so we can make a bet or two; a chart to see who Australia would have met in the knockout stages and to track the whole tournament; an alarm clock to get us up to watch the games at funny times (got to love the time difference); a truly awful motto to be written in huge letters on the side of the Socceroos bus; and a World Cup Soundtrack. It’s going well…
Because the soccer powers-that-be just don’t seem to be able to resist commissioning a very average World Cup song and splashing it all over as much of the coverage as possible. This time around, we’re treated to two different World Cup songs: one by Shakira and the ‘official’ one involving J-Lo. We won’t be buying either – though for what it’s worth the Shakira one is the less bad of the two. It even has footballers in the video (her boyfriend and his mates, we’re guessing). But we’re not here to share with you our taste in music – we only bring up the World Cup songs because they’re all part of the process of building excitement for the World Cup, and we’re starting to get excited.
So for all the fixtures, some inside track and all the World Cup odds you could ever need, just follow the links – the Australia World Cup odds are there, too!
