More vet tests are needed on Singapore mare Jolie's Shinju before she is allowed to race in the Yalumba Stakes at Caulfield on Saturday.

A poor showing at Moonee Valley in the JRA Cup on September 25 prompted a series of investigations, with Racing Victoria chief vet Dr Paul O'Callaghan inspecting her on Tuesday.

A Racing Victoria statement read: "Jolie's Shinju underwent further tests after track work at Caulfield this morning as a result of her poor performance at Moonee Valley on Friday 25 September 2009.

"The results of an ECG test revealed that the mare is suffering from an irregular heart rhythm and is not clear to race until further tests are conducted this week."

Saturday's race is a 2000m group 1 run which Jolie's Shinju is scheduled to use as part of a build-up to the $3 million Cox Plate at Moonee Valley on October 24.

As of Tuesday the mare was out at 120.00 for the race with Betfair, with the current favourite Whobegotyou on 4.80 with the same bookmaker, followed by Maldivian on odds of 9.20.

Racing Victoria also said El Segundo trainer Colin Little declared the horse sustained an injury an eye during the Turnbull Stakes at Flemington Saturday, although it was not expected to affect his spring preparation.
