Kidnapped is emerging as the likely betting favourite for the Sandown Guineas following the gelding's win in the Carbine Club Stakes last month.Trainer Peter Snowden has previously marked the horse out as a strong performer after the win in the first race of Victoria Derby day.
Kidnapped has also won the listed Jayco Stakes, suggesting he has ability at 1400m and 1600m, with Saturday's race covering 1600m and boasting a $350,000 prize pot.
Following Kidnapped's win in the Carbine Club Stakes, Snowden told The Age: "This race and the Sandown Guineas are the two races we aimed at this spring and if we are lucky enough to get our next goal, well we have done a good job.
"How far he can go time will tell, but he's a nice quality horse and I purposefully didn't go too far with him this prep because I think he can be a genuine Rosehill Guineas type."
Saturday's group 2 race will also feature the Darren Weir-trained pair of Disco Summit and Sublimity.
Also appearing on the day is the Sandown Classic, with Zipping hoping to clinch a hat-trick of wins in the race.
