Market update:
France left it late to beat a gallant Nigeria, but did so in 90 minutes and thus gave themselves 30 minutes extra rest than Germany got after needed extra time to overcome Algeria 2-1. However despite their legs being heavier, we think Germany will beat France to line up a Semi Final clash against Brazil or our tip Colombia. Germany looked vulnerable to the fast counter attack of Algeria and indeed if Algeria had a decent striker they'd have knocked Germany out, but France are "no Algeria". Seems like an odds statement but Algeria are fast and direct, France are not. Germany need not worry (as much) about the pace of the French counter, and can probably afford to sit a bit higher up the field than they did against Algeria. Germany are available at decent odds of $2.40, a price we've snapped up.
