The next round of AFL betting sees Sydney Swans already holding an extra incentive for their clash with Richmond on Sunday. With Sydney in 11th and Richmond in 12th betting looks close to call to begin with but the Swans will have an edge in the shape of Michael O'Loughlin – due to play his 300th AFL and club game in the fixture.
Sydney coach Paul Roos has already been talking up the landmark day for the 32-year-old player.
Quoted by the club website, Roos said: "It is important that the club puts on a show for Micky O as he is a club legend.
"We want to make it a day to remember, and it is a very proud day for the club.
"He has been a stalwart of the club for many a year."
The tie at the MCG will also be significant for O'Loughlin as he is retiring at the end of the season and has fought back from an ankle injury to become the 62^nd player in AFL history to hit the 300-game mark.
Richmond needed a post-siren kick to beat bottom side Melbourne on Sunday and an O'Loughlin-inspired Swans might edge them in the next tie.
Early betting sees Sydney at 2.03 to Richmond's 1.77 with Canbet on Monday.
