Horse racing tipsters are backing clear favourite Whobegotyou for the Cox Plate on Saturday. The Mark Kavanagh-trained horse has led the betting all week thanks to strong form and an apparent preference for the Moonee Valley track.
The Yalumba Stakes and Dato Tan Chin Nam winner is on odds of 2.80 with SportsBet for the 2040m group 1 event, ahead of second favourite Heart of Dreams on 6.50.
Betfair also has 'Whobe' at the top of the market, on 3.20, and Betfair tipster Kristen Manning believes he will be the one the rest have to beat.
"Whobegotyou might not provide the best of value, but looks the likely winner here. Barrier 10 looks okay for him - probably better than an inside gate," she wrote.
She also pointed to his record of four starts and four wins at Moonee Valley.
Over at wwos.com.au, Simon O'Donnell also believes Whobegotyou is the clear contender.
He said: "We know he runs the 2000m trip at weight for age and his preparation this time in, as his trainer has spoken about, has all been based around the Cox Plate."
