UFC 161 is crunch time for both Dan Henderson and his opponent Rashad Evans. As you can see above, Evans has the shorter odds, but not by much – this might be too tight for us to call. Both men are looking to makes amends after disappointing bouts earlier in the year, and much will depend on who deals with that setback the better.

Realistically speaking, both men need to win to keep themselves and their careers on track. Henderson is no spring chicken at 42, and will be aware that he’s only ever going to be judged on his most recent fight these days. Evans, meanwhile, has two consecutive losses behind him, and a third would see serious questions starting to come his way. That said, on his day he’s a handful for any fighter, and has the firepower to overwhelm Henderson.

A look at the markets will tell you that it’s a close one in store, but there are some interesting odds to be had. The shortest you’ll see for the method of victory is Evans to take it on points at $2.19, where you’ll see a long, long $19.75 for Henderson to win by submission. On the other hand, it’s Henderson who’s $3.42 to take the fight by KO, and you’ll get $1.57 for the fight to go the distance, $2.25 if it doesn’t.
