Ryan Bader was, once upon a time, a top-ranked fighter in the Light Heavyweight division, but he’s a real outsider here to slow Glover Teixeira’s progress towards the same heights. Bader is a powerful striker, and a seasoned fighter who has more of a chance in this fight than his odds of $4.25 necessarily suggest. The focus will be on Teixeira’s performance on the 5th September, though, and it will be up to Bader to make the fight about him instead.

All eyes will be on Teixeira because he’s a talent whose star is rising in the Light Heavyweight. A win against Bader will likely see him get a shot at the title, but the manner of his performance will be just as important. Whilst he will have to be wary of Bader’s power when they’re on their feet, if the fight goes to the mat, it will be Teixeira who has the advantage, as reflected in his odds of $1.20.
