John Moraga is coming off seven straight wins – not the worst way to prepare for what is almost certainly the biggest fight of his career, against Demetrious Johnson, the reigning Flyweight Champion. His odds look much longer at $4.20 than Johnson’s $1.20, but that could be down to a limited amount of exposure for Moraga, and a lack of opportunity to assess his technique and his real chances of shocking the Champion. Certainly he has the tools to get the job done: Moraga has a great jab and enough power both with his hands and with an array of leg kicks to stop Johnson. But can he string it all together on the very biggest night of his career?

A look at the markets shows us some interesting betting on offer. Take a look at $1.36 for the fight to go 5 rounds, and $2.87 for it to end in the fourth or before. The bookies at Sportsbet think the most likely end to the fight is Johnson on points at $1.50, but don’t rule out Moraga by submission or KO at $5.20. We’re tempted to pick a round that the fight will end in: the third is at $10.90 and the fourth $11.50. Where’s your money?
