Betfair has installed England and Australia as overwhelming favourites to triumph in their opening Four Nations fixtures.England play France in Leeds on Friday while competition favourites Australia face New Zealand in London the following day.
England in particular will be looking for a win having emerged as second-favourites with some bookmakers in recent days.
Betfair has them at 1.01 to beat outsiders France, who are on 4.20 to cause a huge upset at Headingley.
Australia are at 1.17 for Saturday, while New Zealand are at 5.50 to cause a stir at Twickenham Stoop.
Australian captain Darren Lockyer has revealed this could be his last tour in Britain and will be looking to ensure the 1.29 favourites live up to their billing.
He said: "I think when you get over 30 a lot of things are in the back of your mind but this is highly likely to be my last tour to England so I intend to give it my best shot."
Saturday's fixture is a repeat of last year's World Cup final tie which saw New Zealand create one of the sport’s greatest upsets when they beat Australia 34-20.
