EPL Week 24 Manchester City V Chelsea Odds 4th Feb 2014

Man City maintained their excellent form and high scoring record in week 23 as they thrashed Tottenham 5-1. Chelsea could only manage a point against struggling West Ham despite racking up over 25 attempts on goal. They beat Man City at home earlier in the season, but Man City at home is a totally different challenge. We suggest Man City at odds of $1.80.

Arsenal dropped valuable points and their top spot in the league in week 23 as they drew 2-2 with Southampton. They will be looking to maintain the pressure on Man City at the top of the league when they meet Crystal Palace in week 24. Palace have managed to pull 4 points clear of the bottom 3 in recent weeks by picking up valuable wins against their closest rivals, but their form against teams from the top half does not make pretty reading, and they will be up against it this week when they travel to the Emirates Stadium. EPL Week 24 West Bromwich Albion V Liverpool Odds 2nd Feb 2014

Both these teams faced city rivals in week 23. Liverpool secured bragging rights as they secured 3 points in a 4-0 thrashing of Everton. It looked like West Brom were going to hand out a thrashing of their own when they went 2-0 up in just 10 minutes, but defensive mishaps and missed opportunities seen rivals Villa take all 3 points in a 4-3 win. Liverpool’s away form has proved vulnerable at times this season, but they look a strong team in recent weeks and have only lost 1 game to teams in the bottom half of the league. Hull’s recent form has taken a bit of a dip and they have not won in their last 4 games, on top of that, they play host to Tottenham in week 24 and their form against teams in the top 6 reads 1 win and 7 losses. On the positive side, 6 of those losses have been on the road and of the games played at home, they picked up an impressive win against Liverpool. Stoke’s form has gone from bad, losing 1-0 to Sunderland in week 23 and extending their run to 6 games without a win. Things do not get any easier in week 24 as they face a visit from Man Utd. United have won 4 of their last 6 games, and with the £30 million signing of Mata, they will be hoping their team can return to the form that seen them winning premiership titles. We suggest a comfortable victory for Man Utd at odds of $1.61

EPL Week 24 Everton V Aston Villa Odds 2nd Feb 2014

Everton visited city rivals Liverpool in week 23 and suffered a 4-0 defeat and a big dent in their challenge for the top 4. They will be hoping their strong home form will get them back on track as they play host to Villa in week 24. Villa also faced city rivals in the form of West Brom, and after just 10 minutes they found themselves 2-0 down, however in a first half goal fest, they managed to find the net 3 times and went into halftime drawing 3-3. The second half was less eventful and Aston Villa secured all 3 points when Benteke converted from the spot after he was brought down in the box. We think Everton’s home form could give them the edge here and secure them all 3 points at odds of $1.30

EPL Week 24 West Ham United V Swansea Odds 1st Feb 2014

West Ham put up one of the best defensive efforts of the season in week 23 as they held Chelsea to a 0-0 draw despite them racking up well over 25 attempts at goal. This may well be Sam Allardyce’s tactics for the near future as they look to escape the relegation battle. Swansea’s season is currently a tale of 2 halves. Against the top half of the league they have managed just 1 win, but in the bottom half they have lost just 1 game. EPL Week 24 Newcastle United V Sunderland Odds 1st Feb 2014

Rivalry does not come much bigger than the Newcastle v Sunderland derby, and with Sunderland taking the bragging rights from the first game, Newcastle will be looking for revenge. Newcastle have lost their last 2 games, but these were defeats to title challengers Arsenal and Man City so we cannot read too much into that. Sunderland are unbeaten in the last 3 and having escaped the bottom 3 after being 7 points adrift at the foot of the table earlier in the season, Sunderland have really transformed their fortunes. With them flying high they look the value bet at odds of $4.20

EPL Week 24 Cardiff City V Norwich City Odds 2nd Feb 2014

Cardiff start week 24 still at the bottom of the table after after a defeat to Man Utd in week 23. They have now lost the last 4, and you have to go all the way back to mid December for their last win against an out of form West Brom. Norwich picked up a valuable point against Newcastle on the back of a massive 3 points against Hull. Their defence was 2nd to none against Newcastle, but going forward they struggled and goals do not come easy to both these teams. We predict a draw here at $3.10

EPL Week 23 Tottenham Hotspur V Manchester City Odds 30th Jan 2014

Tottenham come into this game sitting in 5th position in the league and on a 4 game winning streak. 3 points in week 23 will keep them well and truly in the race for the top 4 and the Champions League position. They take on Man City who will be looking to extend their 7 game winning streak and put Arsenal under pressure at the top of the table. Tottenham have only managed to secure 1 point from a possible 12 against teams in the top 4, and although home support will be an advantage, Man City have been so impressive in recent weeks and show no signs of slowing down in their pursuit for the title. EPL Week 23 Liverpool V Everton Odds 29th Jan 2014

Liverpool dropped valuable points in week 22 when they drew 2-2 to Aston Villa, they did show spirit in coming back from 2 goals down. Everton went to West Brom with eye’s on the 4th place spot, but a goal from West Brom 20 minutes from the end meant the game finished all square at 1-1 and left Everton in 6th spot. This is a big game in the race for a top 4 spot and both teams will be looking for a massive 3 points. With Liverpool having the home advantage they should be capable of pinching this at odds of $1.73.

EPL Week 23 Aston Villa V West Bromwich Albion Odds 30th Jan 2014

Aston Villa nearly caused an upset in week 22 when they shot out the blocks and quickly went 2-0 ahead against Liverpool, but they were quickly pegged back. Overall they put up a great fight and did well to secure a point against a team that had only dropped 3 points at home before the game. West Brom took on Everton, and despite going down early on, the team rallied to show new manager Pepe Mel what they could do and with 20 minutes left they scored the equalizer and seen the game out well to secure a valuable point. This 2nd city derby guarantees to be exciting and we predict a draw at odds of $3.40

EPL Week 23 Crystal Palace V Hull City Odds 29th Jan 2014

Palace have started picking up wins on a regular basis in the last month, and more importantly taking maximum points from the teams around them. They find themselves 2 points above the drop zone now and looking to increase that gap. Hull are without a win in 8 on the road, but are more than capable of picking up a point here. With both teams struggling to find the back of the net, we predict a hard fought draw at $3.10

EPL Week 23 Swansea City V Fulham Odds 29th Jan 2014

Swansea are slipping down the table at a rate of knots, are without a win in the last 8 and find themselves just 3 points above the drop zone. They face Fulham next, who themselves are just 1 point outside the drop zone and fighting to maintain Premiership status. With both defences proving vulnerable goals are definitely on the cards here. A 2-2 draw is our tip at $17.00

EPL Week 23 Norwich City V Newcastle United Odds 29th Jan 2014

Norwich secured a valuable 3 points against Hull in week 22 with a 1-0 home win, however back to back wins to not come easy to Norwich. They are up against a Newcastle team that have done most of their winning on the road this season including an emphatic 3-1 win over West Ham in their last match. They face and in form Arsenal team that have won their last 5 games and maintain top spot. Despite Southampton’s excellent form, they have only managed 4 points against opposition in the top 6, and with Arsenal pulling everything out the bag to keep the top spot, it is unlikely they will drop points against the Saint’s. We suggest an Arsenal win at $2.00.

Man Utd suffered their 7th defeat of the season after Eto’o notched up his first hat trick for Chelsea in week 22. This was compounded by a straight red card seen Vidic pick up a suspension. Cardiff found themselves at the bottom of the table after losing 4-2 to Man City. They have lost the last 4 and without a win in the last 8 on the road, so it will be a shock if they are able to pick up anything in this match. We suggest Man Utd at $1.29

EPL Week 21 Arsenal V Fulham Odds 19th Jan 2014

Arsenal finished week 20 at the top of the pack after a convincing victory over struggling Aston Villa. Despite losing Theo Walcott for the rest of the season, they have the likes of Santi Cazorla on the bench who will be more than happy to step up to the plate. Fulham are just 2 points outside the relegation places and have failed to pick up any points against any of the top 10 teams so far this season. This should be a comfortable win for Arsenal at $1.25

Man City kept up the pressure in the title race with a 2-0 victory over Newcastle in week 20. They welcome Cardiff to the Etihad stadium this weekend. Cardiff find themselves in the bottom 3 after losing a crucial game to West Ham despite having a man advantage for much of the 2nd half. It is unlikely they will be able to recoup any points here as Man City look to maintain their 100% home record and keep up their title challenge. Sunderland have hit a hot streak recently winning 4 of their last 6 games in all competitions. Southampton also picked up 3 points the weekend with a 1-0 win over West Brom, this was only their 3rd win in the last 12 though.
