UFC-MMA Sunday July 7th 2013: The odds and our tips

Mark Munoz v Tim Boetsch head to head odds
Fighter Odds
Mark Munoz $1.68 Bet Now
Tim Boetsch $2.10 Bet Now

This looks to be an unmissable bout for the wrestling purists out there, with both Munoz and Boetsch boasting impressive wrestling credentials before making their way to the UFC. But the Octagon isn’t just about the mat, and there will be plenty of pundits and fans waiting to see which of the two has the wider arsenal, and which of them can put together the more complete performance...

Tim Kennedy v Roger Gracie head to head odds
Fighter Odds
Tim Kennedy $1.58 Bet Now
Roger Gracie $2.29 Bet Now

This is another pair of strong wrestlers locking horns, with Kennedy the favourite at $1.58 but not by all that much. This one could be just as good to watch as the Munoz Boetsch fight, but for different reasons. It’s not certain that either of these fighters will want to test the other’s ground work, so it could be decided with both men on their feet and a little out of their comfort zones. We’ll be watching closely...

Cub Swanson v Dennis Siver head to head odds
Fighter Odds
Cub Swanson $1.36 Bet Now
Dennis Siver $2.94 Bet Now

Cub Swanson is the favourite going into his bout against Dennis Siver, but he’ll want to be careful not to look past the fight, because whilst he’s sitting at $1.36, the bookies have got Siver at $2.94, which isn’t all that long, and gives you an idea of how tight this one will be.

Swanson will have plans beyond his match-up with Siver on Sunday, and rightly so – after a string of victories in 2012 he’ll be starting to think that it’s time to break from the pack of contenders in a very competitive 145 division and start mounting a challenge for the title. Those plans could be in disarray by the start of next week, though, if he makes the mistake of underestimating Siver. Both men are more than capable of ending this one well before the rounds are out, and Swanson will have to draw on all of his experience to handle Siver, who will become more of a handful if Swanson lets him dictate the tempo. This is a fight we’re really looking forward too, and it’s a great addition to an already mouth-watering fight card for July 7th.
