Guillard v Pearson head to head odds
Fighter | Odds | |
---|---|---|
Guillard | $1.73 | |
Pearson | $2.03 |
There will be plenty of anticipation before Melvin Guillard and Ross Pearson go head-to-head in Manchester on October 27th, and not just because Pearson is on his home turf. Both of these are great fighters to watch, and there’s really no easy way to predict how this one will go. What’s for sure, though, is that with both men boasting a devastating striking game, it will be violent, and it could be over very quickly indeed.
Pearson is a good, solid fighter, with tidy footwork and effective hands. He’s on the back of a couple of good wins, and the Manchester crowd will mean that he has no difficulty at all getting himself up for the fight. But he will find considerable difficulty in his opponent: Guillard is an incredibly athletic fighter, and that dynamism is what Pearson might find hard to handle. Neither fighter has a strong wrestling game, and it’s fair to say that both will look to stay on their feet and finish it with their hands. The trouble for Pearson is the general consensus is thatGuillard’s hands are even better than his, and that the way to beat Guillard is by disrupting him with takedowns, or at least the threat of them. Still, the bookies have this one as a close contest, and if Pearson can find a way to surprise Guillard by striking from unorthodox angles, then the home crowd could easily have something to shout about.
Looking at the markets on Sportsbet right now gives you an idea of where the best bets might be: we like the look of a $1.81 for it to be a KO that ends the fight either way, but if you think it’ll be Guillard by KO, have a look at that at $2.20. Take a look, too, at $1.66 for the fight to make it to the end of the second round. And if you’re looking for something off the wall, then consider a punt at Guillard by submission at a long $28.00. We won’t be picking that last one, but you might know something we don’t...
