When Jimi Manuwa and Ryan Jimmo go at it on October 27th, we’ll definitely be watching. In fact, we’re going to make sure we’re sat down in front of this one well before the start, because it could easily all be over in seconds. And there’s no guarantee which way it goes, either – this is a genuine battle of the power strikers, and the first round could see a KO by either fighter.

Manuwa’s plan will be as simple as it’s become predictable. He has made a reputation for himself by coming out fast at the start of a fight and throwing powerful combinations – it’s a flurry of punches that his opponents will know is coming, but have thus far found no way to withstand. As a result, he’s registered 12 of his 13 professional wins by KO or TKO. That’s an impressive record by any standard, but Jimmo won’t be an easy man to put down with punches alone – he’s only been knocked out once so far in his MMA career. However, Jimmo will have some big choices as to how he approaches the fight, and that might be why he has the longer odds that you can see above. Jimmo shares the record for the fastest knockout in the UFC at seven seconds, so he has a dangerous striking game of his own to show off, and if he tries to do that against Manuwa this could be an electrifying spectacle that won’t last long either way. More likely, Jimmo will try to test Manuwa’s wrestling, and that will make for a really interesting contest, as both men look for a killer opening.

Ultimately, it’ll likely come down to who lands the biggest hit first. Take at look at the markets on Sportsbet right now for some good bets: like $1.99 for Manuwa to win it by KO, or, even better, $4.45 if it’s Jimmo who takes it by KO. For a KO either way, you’ll get $1.53, and if the fight doesn’t make it out of the second round, you’ll get $2.25. Either way – enjoy this fight if you can find a telly to watch it on!
